The Olympic Beach Volleyball Court in Chaoyang Park is one of the venues for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. After 1 year, 7 months and 10 days of construction, it was completed on August 7th. The beach volleyball court has a construction area of 14,150 square meters, including 1 playing field, 2 warm-up venues and 5 training venues, with 12,200 seats.

As an official event of the Summer Olympics, the FIVB has very detailed regulations on the use of sand for beach volleyball matches. Shape, size, color, roundness, and angularity must all meet the testing requirements. In addition, the color of sand cannot be too white, otherwise it will affect the effect of television broadcast. After screening and comparison, the sand ore screen of sand mines in Bajo Town, Dongfang City, Hainan Province was selected. In the Beijing Olympic Games, the sand is mixed with two-to-one proportions of light yellow and similar white sand. Before that, it must first go through miscellaneous, coarse and hydraulic grading steps before it can be finally made. .

According to the requirements of the International Olympic Committee and Beijing’s bid for hosting, the “Good Luck Beijing” 2007 FIVB Women’s Beach Volleyball Challenge will be held on August 13-19 at the Olympic Beach Volleyball Court. At that time, it will be a comprehensive test and inspection of the venue facilities, technical systems, plans, operation specifications and guarantee capabilities.
